Kylie Bell

Founder and Head Wren

I’m obsessed with helping organisations to balance wellbeing and performance – because I don’t believe you can have one without the other.

My ten years’ experience in senior leadership roles, leading people across diverse backgrounds, countries and cultures in high-pressure, creative environments, inform my work in developing leaders and teams today at Wren Learning.

I’ve realised over the past decade that at the heart of every healthy, thriving organisation is healthy relationships.  This led me to research on ‘Attachment Theory’ – a theory that explains how we behave in relationships.

I’m delighted to share this research so that every organisation and every person in them have the highest possible wellbeing and performance through healthy, secure relationships.

We’ve devised a suite of programs that focus on how we relate to ourselves and our self-care, how leaders relate to team members, and how team members relate to each other and clients, in person and writing.  I’ve also written a book and created a leadership program called ‘The Secure Leader’.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Education – Arts (Psychology and English)
  • Master of Education (HRD and Organisational Learning)
  • Post Graduate Professional Certificate in Positive Psychology

Even after all these years, I still get a buzz out of participants’ surprise that the workshops are fun and engaging.  And I’m proud to work with the Wren Learning team of highly qualified, talented, experienced researchers, program designers, and educators.

Outside work I’m married with four boys aged 21 to 27.   (Yes, I can pretty much handle anything, and I understand the off-side rule in soccer).  Also love travelling, bike riding and long lunches with great friends.

Our valued clients…

Our Mission

We create exceptional learning experiences so your leaders and teams develop high levels of wellbeing and performance.

Our Values

We take our values from the Celtic meaning of the Wren. Wrens symbolise what learning does for us and the experience we want for our clients. It’s who we are and the way we work:

Core Value

Creative

Wrens are creative and adventurous, and love to branch out beyond the realm of the “known”. We love giving our clients fun, ‘out there’ and creative learning experiences.

Core Value

Free Spirited

Learning frees us from old ideas, encourages us to step out of our habits and open our minds to new possibilities. We love watching the ‘ah ha’ moments that set our clients free.

Core Value

Quick-Witted

Like wrens, we are responsive, resourceful, and efficient. We’ll work seamlessly to serve your timeline and organisational goals.

Core Value

Friendly

The wren reminds us that it’s not material things, but the quality of our relationships that enrich our lives. Our clients become our friends and we care about your organisational aspirations as much as you do.

Quirky Facts about Wrens

  • Wrens might be tiny, but they have a powerful song and can hit two notes at the same time.
  • In winter Wrens huddle together with their heads inwards like penguins for warmth.
  • In folklore it’s considered bad luck to harm a Wren.  Apparently, you might break your leg, injure your livestock, or lightening might strike your home.
  • Wren Day is celebrated in parts of Ireland on St Stephens Day – 26 December. On that day a fake wren on a decorative pole is paraded around town.
